IFSTA Fire and Emergency
Services Company Officer, 4th edition
The
4th edition of Fire and Emergency Services Company Offic er reflects
not only changes in the NFPA 1021, Standard for Fire Officer Professional
Qualifications but also in the IFSTA approach to manual development.
Like the previously published Fire
and Emergency Services Instructor (7th edition) manual, Company
Officer (4th edition) is
divided into two parts, each based on the appropriate Fire Officer
Levels I and II. This division makes it easier for the student to
read and the instructor to teach. Appendices, glossary, and a list
of suggested readings are also parts of the new manual. Visually,
the new manual contains changes in the chapter title pages. Divider
pages introduce each chapter with a list of the NFPA job-performance
requirement (JPR) numbers addressed in the chapter, learning objectives,
and a list of chapter contents.
